Here are the answers to some of the most common questions about Cuddlies. If you can't find the answer here, feel free to drop us an email at

Why Cuddlies nappies are different?

We started our eco journey to try and find a better solution for the most used items during a bub’s early years – nappies and wipes - without losing the convenience factor that is critical for busy parents. Concerned about both the known and unknown effects of ingredients used in conventional nappies and wipes, we were convinced there is a better alternative that is not only safer for the baby, but can also reduce the environmental impact caused by disposable nappies.

After much hard work and years of research, we engineered what is the biggest game-changer in nappy materials. With better performance and environmental credentials than any other fibre on the market, Cuddlies is leading the next wave of nappy innovation.

• Sustainably sourced 100% bamboo fiber viscose top sheet, super soft and comfortable against the skin.

• Ultra-breathable back sheet made from 100% bamboo fiber viscose allows fresh air to circulate inside the nappy.

• Natural aloe liner helps nourish the baby’s skin.

• Soft frontal tape safely secures the waistband against the happy tugging.

• Plant-based wetness indicator that lets you know when baby needs changing.

• Premium quality super absorbent polymer to lock moisture away keeping the surface dry.

• Stretchable side fasteners for a comfy and flexible fit.

• The anti-leak leg cuffs prevent leakages.

• Elastic waistband is perfect for a comfortable fit.

Why Bamboo?

Bamboo is one of the most renewable, sustainable, and eco-friendly materials. It is the fastest growing plant in the world. Isn't mother nature amazing?! We use 100% bamboo viscose fibers made from responsibly sourced FSC certified material which makes our nappies the softest, yet extremely strong and absorbent.

How is the absorbency?

Cuddlies is uniquely designed to use 100% bamboo top and back sheets. 100% bamboo top sheet helps wick moisture away from baby's skin quickly.  100% bamboo back sheet allows fresh air to circulate, keeping your baby's skin touch dry and super-comfy!

Please refer to our quick guide in "Will the nappy fit?" for the perfect fit.

Are your products safe?

Toxic ingredients are not okay with us. That means our bamboo range is 100% free from chlorine bleach, dyes, alcohol, fragrances, latex, PVC, TBT, phthalates or other toxins that can harm the health and function of your baby's skin.

 Will the nappy fit?

  • Quick guide for a perfect fit:
  • Our nappies come in a range of sizes to suit your baby, so make sure to check the sizing guide in the product pages.
  • A nappy that fits well, should appear straight and equally proportioned on your baby.
  • The leg cuffs wrap neatly around your baby's legs and bottom. After putting on the nappy, run your fingers around these edges to make sure the leak barrier cuffs are pulled out. Cuffs being tucked inside are a common cause of leakage.
  • Check the waist is snug with the nappy placed just under the belly button.
  • Stretch: The tapes should be fastened symmetrically on the waistband on the front of the nappy. Cuddlies nappies have flexible triple stretchable sides which adapt to the baby's shape and movement to help you create a custom fit.

Are your products eco-friendly?

We're a planet-loving bunch over here. So, we've made our bamboo nappies and water wipes with materials that biodegrade without compromising on the quality and performance. We’re always on the lookout for innovative ways to make our products more sustainable. Our eco range is environmentally friendly as current technology allows.

CUDDLIES nappies biodegrade 75% of its content in 100 days, and, our bamboo water wipes are 100% biodegradable. Unlike other eco nappy brands, our outer packaging is also recyclable.

Do your nappies degrade in landfill?

Our nappies decompose in regular landfill. It is important to follow the correct process to dispose the soiled nappy to allow the decomposition to start. Soiled nappies must be placed in a biodegradable bag and put directly in the normal rubbish bin (no plastic bin bags).

Can we add the nappies to the home compost bin?

While the nappies can be home composted in small quantities, we recommend that they be composted in commercial composting facility or check with your local council for information. If you'd prefer to home compost, only use the wet nappies without fecal matter.

1. Wet the nappy

2. Remove plastic front tabs, waistband and leg cuffs (you can easily cut these out)

3. Mix with organics (leaves and grass)

4. Turn 2-3 weeks

Important: Never use home-composted nappies for food gardens / plants that may be eaten. Why? human waste is filled with bacteria and other pathogens that may spread disease, and the typical at-home compost pile doesn’t get hot enough to kill these organisms. You can use the finished compost for grass, shrubs, flowers and other non-edible plants. If there is fecal matter, we do not recommend trying to compost it at home.
